Created in 1962 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the Hulk has had along and tumultuous journey to becoming the iconic character he is today. In the movies , the Hulk is typically a massive, green-skinned humanoid with vast strength and healing capabilities, while his alter-ego, Bruce Banner, is a physically week and socially withdrawn physicist. The storylines often play on the conflict between the two. But somehow both of them always manages to work together in the end and thus becoming one of the most precious memeber of the Avengers. Here are some some lesser known facts you might not know about our very own Green Goliath.

1. There were more

Before Mark Ruffalo took the mantel of Hulk in  2012,there were in total four actors (Edward Norton, Eric Bana,Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby)who portrayed the angry green giant on the silver screen. Out of the four actors Eric Bana’s and Edward Norton’s version of Hulk has their storyline connected to the current storyline adopted by mcu.

2.He tried to end it all

We saw Ruffalo’s version of Banner in (2012) used Ed Norton’s (2008) movie reference where Bruce Banner tried to shoot himself in order to end the hulk situation. Although he only managed to wake the hulk up who then spitted the bullet out and ended the situation.

3.Origin in MCU vs Comics

In the original comic books, Banner became Hulk after he fell down into gamma based nuclear waste when he rushed in order to save a young man. But,in MCU’s version Banner became the Hulk when he experimented on himself in order to replicate Captain America’s super soldier serum. Banner was so confident of his experiment that he actually tested it on himself. But,the experiment went wrong and instead of giving himself the power of a super soldier .He made himself an angry green monster instead.

4.He is almost invincible

Hulk can outmatch any opponent he faces. That is because the limits of his powers are not fixed or quantified, the more angry he gets more stronger he gets ,thus making him almost invincible. So, basically we can say that whenever hulk losses a battle doesn’t mean he was not strong enough it simply means that he was not angry enough.

5. It was supposed to be silver

In Avengers Infinite War, we saw Hulk crashing down from the sky right into Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum .But, in comic book version it was Silver Surfer who came crashing down to the earth not the green giant. But, since we didn’t have a silver surfer in MCU by then we saw the Hulk coming down with the warning about the mad titan.

6.Hulk no Avenger

When S.H.I.E.L.D was putting up a team for upcoming world threats, they actually wanted Abomination on team not the Hulk. So, in the end of the incredible Hulk movie when we saw Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man walking into the bar with the proposal for the Avengers initiative. He was actually convincing the General not to let  the Abomination on loose ever again.  But we all know how that worked out didn’t we.
