Riverdale facts: Cast edition

It’s no secret how famous CW’s Riverdale is among its fans. We just love everything about the show whether its the storyline or the beautiful sceneries or whether its the diverse cast of the show. We might know everything about these cast members on-screen persona but there is still much more going on with them off-screen. 1. Cole Sprouse was originally asked to audition for Archie.

He was initially asked to audition for the role of Archie. But, not only he was drawn to Jughead, but also loved that the character is the show’s narrator because it means he can’t die.

2. Madelaine Petsch originally auditioned to play Betty.

In 2015, she auditioned for a role on The CW’s Legends of tomorrow. The casting director David Rapaport loved her and asked her to read for a pilot he was casting. When she met with producers, they told her she was auditioning to play Betty—but only because the role of Cheryl was still top secret.

3. Riverdale marks Camila Mendes’ first-ever professional acting gig.

She just graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts before she was got herself the role of Veronica in Riverdale.

4. Ashleigh Murray almost took a break from acting before she was cast as Josie

“I was $4,700 behind in rent. I lived in New York City, so it was a lot of money,” she told collider . “And I was just about to take a break from acting for about six months, until I could get myself back on my feet financially, and then hit the ground running. This was my last audition.”She says she was so broke before landing the role that she was washing her clothes in the sink

5. Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petsch are roommates in real life.

Madelaine calls Lili her “best friend.”She also says she can trust Lili to keep all her secrets. “We can talk about my relationships, or personal lives, or whatever, and I feel like she’s always got my back.”

6. KJ Apa’s full name is Keneti James Fitzgerald Apa.

The 22yrs old New Zealand actor is generally goes by just K.J among his friends which is short form his full name Keneti James Fitzgerald Apa.

7. Camila Mendes channels Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl when she’s playing Veronica.

Veronica may be her first acting gig but it seems like Camila is little inclined towards her role as Blair Waldorf in Gossip girl. She always says that whenever she is playing Veronica she always try to follow the flair and charm of Blair.

8. Madelaine Petsch is a natural redhead.

Just like her character Cheryl in Riverdale, Madeline Petsch is a red head in real life too unlike her co-star K.J Apa who naturally have black hairs. It’s like she was destined to play Cheryl.

9.Ed Sheeran once serenaded KJ Apa on screen

Before his Riverdale days, KJ was on a New Zealand soap opera called Shortland Street. In one episode, Ed Sheeran guest-starred and helped KJ’s character Kane figure out what to do with his life. Cole Sprouse revealed the embarrassing (but awesome) moment in an Instagram story.

10.Cole Sprouse is the most adventurous member of the cast

Out of all the cast members Cole Sprouse is considered to be the most free living of them all. No matter what he is always up for an adventure. (Well to be honest that’s not surprising at all)

11.Lili Reinhart is a mental health care advocate

Lili Reinhart is one of the most sensetive member of the show. She is very outspoken on mental health topics and Out of so he routinely posts about the topic on social media.

12.Madelaine Petsch is terrified of water in real life.

Although she has to shoot so many scenes around a river(ironically the show which she works for is named with River in it ). She is terrified of water to death in real life.

13.KJ Apa broke his hand while filming the Season 1 finale

We all know accidents happens on shooting sets and just like that this happened when Season 1finale episode was shooting 

.14.KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, and Madelaine Petsch were all fans of Cole Sprouse’s Disney show, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Whether it’s his role in  friends or Zack and Cody. Cole Sprouse always manages to charm his fans .  But this might be his biggest achievement as his co-stars were already a big fan of him even before they started to work together

14.Cole Sprouse is also a comic fan and is in talks to write some of the Riverdale spinoff comic.

Out of so many other talents possesd by him Cole Sprouse is also a great writer.”Now there’s a Riverdale universe that’s gonna take off in print form now, too. Roberto [Aguirre-Sacasa, Riverdale’s showrunner] has talked to me about writing a couple of those, which would be awesome. I’d love to try my hand at that,” he told Vulture.
