Blackpink is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment. There are four members in the group Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The group debuted in August 2016 with their single album Square One. Some of their first songs were Whistle and Boombayah.

Blackpink is the highest-charting female Korean act on the Billboard Hot 100. Ice Cream (2020) at number 13. The Album (2020) is the first-ever album by a Korean girl group to sell more than one million copies.

Blackpink were the first Korean girl group to enter the Billboards Emerging Artists chart.

Blackpink’s 2018 song Kiss and Make up, a collaboration with Dua Lipa, was the first by a Korean group to receive certification from BPI. The group has broken numerous online records throughout their career.

They are the most followed girl group on Spotify. Blackpink are the first music group and Korean act to have four music videos accumulate one billion views each on Youtube. Kiss and Make up received platinum certification from the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).
