Takeshi Obata wrote and drew Tsugumi Ohba’s manga series Death Note. The plot revolves around Light Yagami, a juvenile genius who discovers a strange notebook known as the “Death Note”. Formerly Shinigami Ryuk owned it. He offers the user the magical ability to murder anybody whose name reaches its pages. The series follows Light’s further attempts to utilize the Death Note to carry out a global murder of those he considers to be immoral.
